How do I book a practical driving test?

You can follow this link to book your practical driving test here.

What is the waiting time for a practical driving test date?

Again, this will vary from test centre to test centre. We would advise booking early. Some test centres have a waiting time of only a couple of weeks but some maybe as much as two or even three months. However, an earlier test date can normally be found if you follow the steps below, often resulting in only a very short waiting time.

How can I get a much quicker practical driving test date?

1) Once you've booked your practical driving test online you will then be able to change your practical driving test here - if you search frequently you can often find a much earlier date. Sometimes this is referred to as picking up a cancellation test date. In short, there are hundreds of people cancelling their driving tests each hour and day. Most likely because they are not ready to take the test. ALL these cancelled test dates then will show up on the online booking system throughout the day. The more often you login and check the greater the chance of finding a date that you want - often to coincide with the end of your intensive course?

2) The above method is very effective but if you don't fancy the effort of logging in you can pay for an app from a third party company which will do virtually the same thing.

So, in conclusion - don't panic if you can't find a test date that is early enough for you - there is an excellent chance of earlier dates appearing.

Do you guarantee a driving test pass?

Driving Innovation is a booking service so it would be for the driving instructor to offer you this - if it exists? Sadly, there is no such thing as a guaranteed pass, even though some driving schools falsely claim they offer one. For more information on this you can read more here.

Do I have to book my own theory and practical tests?

Yes, unless clearly stated all courses displayed do not include the booking of these tests. Even though a few driving schools offering intensive courses on the web advertise they do, you would still have to pass your theory before the driving school could book your practical. Driving schools are not given any priority booking service - they will have to find a test date for you in exactly the same way as you can. Why pay extra for this - when you can take control of it yourself?
